There comes a time when you use a piece of recording kit and you simply get blown away by the results?
You just have to shout about it to everyone.
Recently I bought a Red 100 vocal enhancer from Studiospares in the UK. The same unit will be available from other sources throughout the world.
Last night was the first time I have used it for a full vocal session. Wow! I was totally astonished at the results.
Now, my studio already has, probably, the best vocal sound I have ever heard. Just click on "3 Minutes on the Radio With Dec"and hear the quality in my ‘3 Minutes on the Radio With Dec’. You can also go to Meg and Dec on TSN Radio to hear this week’s ‘Meg and Dec on TSN Radio’.
But the difference last night shocked me to the core. The already great sound has now got such deep quality, the warmth and fullness is totally captured by the Red 100. It traps all the sound and makes sure every bit of it goes where it should be, into the microphone and is not dissipated throughout the studio.
My advice? Get one! Quick.

Good advice on ‘My Documents’ [ The annoying ‘My Documents’ problem ]
If you use Windows Explorer several times a day, you might find it annoying that it always opens in My Docs. There is a way however, to have it open in any folder you wish.
Windows Explorer, also known as the My Documents window, is pretty handy. No wonder you want to make it more accessible.
Right-click on the desktop, scroll down to New and choose Shortcut. The Create Shortcut window will open. Click Browse and the “Browse for Folder“ window will open. Highlight the folder you wish and click OK.

Looked at your site .... check it over for very obvious formatting flaws in the typing. It is important to bring over a highly professional look in your web presence. If you can't do it, or have not got the time, then get a pro to do it. They are all out of work so the going rate can be very small [for excellent pro work] If you have trouble getting a proper job done give me a call I have an excellent guy!
The music library game is a tough one .... the web site should be simply an adjunct to the 'real' solid side of the business .... I have a few close friends who lost a lot of dosh concentrating on web ideas for promoting library music ... so be careful.
On the other hand, about twelve years ago I worked with a guy [Ian Herron], We produced some great stuff together [had a nice hit in the States with one]. He learned loads from me. He won a silly competition in Europe for library music which promised a deal etc. .... nothing happened for 18 months ... so he chased them and chased them ... eventually it all turned around through his persistence.... he has now retired [he's about 50] .... just spends around 3 weeks a year tidying up his catalogue ... now practically every ad on TV that has dance music is his!!!!! He makes an absolute fortune BUT he concentrated on the bricks and mortar side of his music business ... there is no easy way. Don't be fooled by promises that the Web is the way forward ... it definitely is not. It is simply an additional tool.

“A guy is driving around Dublin when he sees a sign in front of a house: "Talking Dog For Sale."
He rings the bell and the owner tells him the dog is in the back yard. The guy goes into the back yard and sees a Labrador sitting there.
"You talk?" he asks.
"Yes," the Labrador replies.
"So, what's the story?"
The Labrador looks up and says: "Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the Garda about my gift, and in no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders, because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running.
"But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security wandering near suspicious characters and listening in.
"I uncovered some incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals. I got married, had a load of puppies, and now I'm just retired."
The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.
"Ten Euros," the man says.
"Ten Euros? This dog is amazing. Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?"
"Because he's a liar. He never did any of that sh**e."
